Instrument Rating Questions
You need a Private Pilot Certificate and 50 hours of cross-country time as pilot in command. If you are still building that time, we can plan cross-country flights that count toward it.
Our Cessna 172s are equipped with dual AV-30 electronic flight displays and a Garmin GPS 175 with WAAS, so you will fly RNAV approaches with the same technology found throughout the general aviation fleet.
The FAA requires 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument time. Most students complete the rating in 45 to 55 hours.
